In 2021, Lisa and I sought ways to inspire our son by showing him the value of work and drive and finding purpose in his life. Essentially we were asking ourselves if there was a better way to raise and educate a young man, which required a reimagination of everything we did as a family: where we lived, how and what type of work we did, how and where our son would be educated, and chiefly -- how would we make this happen? 

Originally, Hudson's education was the focus, then more awareness changed our thinking. 

All around, there was need. NEED. And it was everywhere: from an orphanage in Juarez to working with a team of Kenyan nationals in Kijabe. On the road, it becomes clear that spreading the Word of God for us is about being an example, giving, and working alongside new friends.

This extended service mission continues to be humbling and exhilarating. Our work swings from managing/planning construction projects to washing thousands of dishes daily to designing retaining walls to grading high school chemistry homework (as a substitute teacher). 

On this journey, the future is uncertain, yet we are stepping out in faith because we have learned not to worry about how God works. 

Since 2021, we have served in Juarez, Mexico; Denia, Spain; Kijabe, Kenya; and Puebla, Mexico.   

In August 2023, we landed in Kraków, Poland to work alongside those focused on supporting Ukrainian refugees.

What does the future hold? Working together in efforts, large and small, to improve some people's lives...to complete 4 years of fulltime mission work! 

And for Hudson, we hope he will want to try to pay it forward his entire life. We are glad you are with us on this mission.
